Our forest educators are as diverse as nature itself. They each have their personal preferences and areas of expertise, but they all have one thing in common, namely an unbounded joy in sharing their knowledge and experience!

Join our forest educators on unique hikes on a wide variety of topics. Enjoy a custom tour of the nature park highlights alone or with friends, family or work colleagues.

Cost: For up to 10 people

Flat rate for 2 hours: € 190.00, each additional person € 18.00

Flat rate for 3 hours: € 220.00, each additional person € 21.00

Climate Change in the Forest and Nature Park

Climate change: the term everyone is talking about. How is the forest in the nature park affected? Trees cannot “move”, they are rooted in their location for decades or centuries. What possibilities does a forestry company have to make the forest climate-resilient? What does phenology mean? On this tour, we will show you the measures we are taking to help the forest remain a climate-resilient commercial and recreational forest in the future.

The Princely Hike

In the footsteps of Prince Johann I of Liechtenstein. The hike takes you on a journey into the Biedermeier period. You will discover Naturpark Sparbach in its original form as a natural garden and learn more about the “discovery of nature” in the Biedermeier period. Ferdinand Raimund, Nikolaus Lenau and Ferdinand Georg Waldmüller were all inspired by the landscape surrounding Sparbach.

Poisonous plant or magical herb?                                                     

“The dosage makes the poison” – said Paracelsus... Poisonous plants can be found at many locations in the nature park. They can also be found in the medicine cupboards of our households... During a tour to selected locations, Susanne Käfer (herbal educator and Head of the Naturpark Office) shares her knowledge of these plants.
