Climate LOOKouts

The Sparbach Nature Park, as part of the Sparbach Forestry Company, understands the forest, its management and raising awareness about it as a core task.

We reforest with tree species that, from today's experience, should be able to deal with future changes. Additionally, small habitats such as hedges, ponds, or deadwood hedges, as well as piles of stones, are created.

These facts lead our idea of making climate change and its consequences tangible through "Climate LOOKouts."

At nine stations, we have prepared various aspects of climate change and linked with interactive tasks. "Climate LOOKouts" - may sound a bit crazy - the places where you find the nine stations were selected carefully - take a LOOK at these stations and take a LOOK on how you deal with climate change. To complete the project, there is a quiz available as an app that accompanies the path, which is approximately 3 km. Virtual wild boars can be collected, a „Climate LOOKouts“ certificate can be earned and shared with your friends.
